Charlotte Is Where I Work

Not "available in Charlotte" — actually here. Charlotte is home base, the place I edit from day to day, and the anchor for everything else I do in Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, and beyond.

Charlotte doesn't get mentioned much in film industry conversations, which is exactly why this page exists. There's a version of this career where you build a national résumé from a mid-sized Southern city and nobody outside the industry knows that's what you're doing — the work shows up on Netflix, on A&E, on Amazon Prime, and the city in the credits isn't the point. That's more or less what happened.

My current work is Co-Executive Producer / Editor on The Gotti Files — an eight-episode docuseries for A&E, produced by Propagate Content and Lady Moon Entertainment, showrun by Rory Karpf. On the development side, my sizzle reel work helped greenlight Soul Power: The Legend of the ABA (Amazon Prime Video, 2026), executive-produced by Dr. J Julius Erving and Common. Feature film side: Grace Point premiered at the 2023 Santa Barbara International Film Festival with Andrew McCarthy and John Owen Lowe. I'm also currently in post on New Here, directed by Dan Sickles (Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner), produced by Shane Boris (Oscar winner).

I'm an ACE Affiliate Member, a full member of the British Film Editors, and I work in both Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro. Sports Emmy nomination in 2018 for UFC 25 Years in Short.

Documentary & Docuseries

True crime, sports, and character-driven long-form for streaming and cable. Currently Co-Executive Producer / Editor on The Gotti Files (A&E, 2027). Credits on Netflix, Amazon, HBO Max, ESPN, and Peacock.

Sports Documentary

Long-form sports journalism, legacy profiles, and character docs. Credits include ESPN, UFC, NFL Films, and Amazon Prime's All or Nothing series — with a Sports Emmy nomination to show for it.

Development Sizzle Reels

Pitch tapes that get projects greenlit. Development reels contributed to greenlights at A&E (The Gotti Files) and Amazon Prime Video (Soul Power: The Legend of the ABA).

How It Works

Charlotte Base · National Reach

Most of the work happens remotely — that's been true for years, and the industry has fully caught up to it. I edit from Charlotte, send cuts, take notes on calls, and deliver. The same workflow I'd use working with a production in New York or Los Angeles applies to a production anywhere.

For productions that want me physically in the room — Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver — I travel for the right project. Charlotte sits at the center of a triangle: four hours to Atlanta, two hours to the Research Triangle, a short flight to New York. It's not the disadvantage it might look like from the outside.

Common Questions

Are you actually based in Charlotte, or is that just where you're from?

Actually based here — it's home, not a hometown. I edit from Charlotte day to day, and my availability for Charlotte productions is immediate. No travel required, no relocation conversation. For projects outside Charlotte, I travel or work remotely depending on what the production needs.

What's your documentary and docuseries background?

True crime, sports doc, and character-driven long-form are where most of my work sits. Currently Co-Executive Producer / Editor on The Gotti Files (A&E, 8 episodes, 2027 — Propagate Content / Lady Moon Entertainment). Other editing credits include Shaq Life (TNT/HBO Max), Joe Montana: Cool Under Pressure (Peacock/NFL Films), and Dominique Belongs to Us (ESPN). On the development side, my sizzle reel work helped greenlight Soul Power: The Legend of the ABA (Amazon Prime Video, 2026 — exec-produced by Dr. J Julius Erving and Common). Sports Emmy nomination in 2018 for UFC 25 Years in Short.

Can you work on productions outside the Charlotte area?

Yes — most of the work I do is for productions based in New York, Los Angeles, or elsewhere. Remote collaboration is the default. When on-location presence matters, I travel. Atlanta is a regular destination; New York and LA I'm comfortable in for extended stays. The credits on my résumé aren't Charlotte productions — they're network and streaming projects that happen to be cut by someone based here.

What's the narrative film side of your work?

My feature debut was Grace Point (2023), directed by Rory Karpf, starring Andrew McCarthy, John Owen Lowe, and Jim Parrack — it premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and is available on Tubi, Amazon, and Apple TV. I'm currently in post on New Here, directed by Dan Sickles (Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner) and produced by Shane Boris (Oscar winner), with Nolan Jennings as co-editor. Several short narratives are also in various stages of post.

What's the best way to reach you?

Email is the cleanest path. Send a brief description of what you're working on — format, length, where you are in production, and your timeline. I get back within one business day.
