"The access is extraordinary — home movies, wiretap audio, the family on camera. The editorial challenge is letting the material speak without editorializing it."

What documentary credits does Corey Scott Frost have?
Corey is Co-Executive Editor on The Gotti Files, an 8-episode A&E docuseries produced by Propagate Content and Lady Moon Entertainment, with Rory Karpf as Showrunner. He edited the greenlit development sizzle for Soul Power: The Legend of the American Basketball Association, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video in February 2026 executive produced by Dr. J Julius Erving and Common. His television documentary credits span Netflix, Amazon, ESPN, Peacock, TNT, and HBO Max.
What types of documentary projects does Corey edit?
Corey works across true crime docuseries, sports documentaries, character-driven feature docs, and long-form nonfiction television. He is experienced in both the single-episode feature format and multi-episode series structure — from assembly cut through picture lock, including working with archival materials, interview-driven storytelling, and vérité sequences.
Is Corey Scott Frost available for hire as a documentary editor?
Yes. Corey is available for hire on documentary features, limited series, and docuseries. He works in both Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro and is available in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Vancouver, and on location for the right project. Reach out with a brief description of your project, where you are in production, and your timeline.
What is the difference between a documentary editor and a docuseries editor?
A documentary editor works on a single feature-length film, building one complete narrative arc from raw interview and vérité footage. A docuseries editor works across multiple episodes, maintaining character continuity over hours of content while managing the episode-level pacing and hooks that keep audiences returning. Corey is experienced in both formats and brings the same narrative rigor to each.
Does Corey Scott Frost edit sizzle reels for documentary projects?
Yes. Beyond his long-form editing work, Corey specializes in development sizzle reels and pitch tapes for documentary projects. The Soul Power sizzle he cut helped get that project greenlit at Amazon Prime Video. He has also cut development reels for Lionsgate, 101 Studios, Universal Entertainment, and Religion of Sports. See the sizzle reel editor page for more detail.
About
I'm a documentary and docuseries editor with credits on A&E, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, ESPN, Peacock, and TNT. I was Emmy-nominated for UFC 25 Years in Short (Sports Emmy, 2018) and am currently serving as Co-Executive Editor on The Gotti Files, an 8-episode docuseries for A&E produced by Propagate Content and Lady Moon Entertainment.
My approach to documentary editing is rooted in narrative structure — the same tools that make a scripted film work apply to nonfiction storytelling. I came up editing sports documentaries and long-form character pieces, which means I'm fluent in archive-heavy material, interview-driven structure, and the particular challenge of finding a story in a mass of footage that didn't know it was being shaped.
I work in both Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro, am an ACE Affiliate Member and full member of the British Film Editors. Based in the Southeast, I work regularly in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, and Vancouver, and am available on location for the right project.
